11 Tips for a better night's sleep
- Provide fresh air and leave a window slightly open
- Do not drink coffee or other caffeinated drinks after 4:00 PM. Caffeine can stay in your system for up to 6 hours.
- Wear cotton nightwear and use cotton bed linen. This ventilates better and is therefore more comfortable.
- Do not drink alcohol just before going to sleep. You may fall asleep quickly, but you often wake up later in the night.
- Do not eat too late in the evening and eat the right products, for example sweet potatoes, oily fish, spinach, bananas and nuts. These products contain a natural substance that helps you fall asleep faster.
- Go to bed on time.
- Make sure the bedroom is completely dark.

- Use a good pillow that suits your sleeping position and mattress
- Take a down duvet, it is lighter and can contribute to fewer sleep disturbances because you have to use less force when you want to turn over or lie down.
